A great many companies provide the removals industry with vital products and services, and a number of these have decided to work closely with BAR and our Members by becoming BAR Affiliates.

Between them our Affiliates provide the industry (and other sectors) with quality, proven products and services which include insurance to lead generation to software.

Anyone can purchase from our Affiliates, but only BAR Members will benefit from the agreed preferential rates on offer.

Immigration Industry Association

The Immigration Industry Association (IIA) is the Global Professional Association for immigration/expat service providers, migration and visa advisers, immigration lawyers, international recruiters/employers, global mobility and relocation companies, non-profit and government agencies, or any business or sole trader who facilitates, supports, assists or provides any product or service for clients or corporates moving from one country to another, including the international student market.

BIFM – The Professional Body for Facilities Management

The BIFM is the ‘natural home’ of facilities management in the UK. Founded in 1993, the Institute provides information, education, training and networking services for nearly 13,000 members – both individual professionals and organisations. BIFM’s members are responsible for many of the services that support business and other organisations, including business continuity, health & safety, space planning, energy management, maintenance and catering. The Institute is inclusive, working across related disciplines and forming alliances with like-minded professional bodies such as the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), and more recently the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA). Increasingly international in outlook, the BIFM is a founding member of networking organisations EuroFM and Global FM. BIFM’s mission is to advance the profession – to consolidate FM as a vital management discipline.

The National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), the residential sales arm of the National Federation of Property Professionals (NFOPP), is the UK’s leasing professional body for estate agency personnel, representing the interests of around 10,000 members who practice across all aspects of property services both in the UK and overseas. These include residential and commercial sales and lettings, property management, business transfer, auctioneering and land. The National Association of Estate Agents is dedicated to the goal of professionalism within all aspects of property, estate agency and land. Its aim is to reassure the general public that by appointing an NAEA member to represent them they will receive in return the highest level of integrity and service in both sales and lettings, for all property matters. Each NAEA member is bound by a vigorously enforced Code of Practice and adheres to professional Rules of Conduct. Failure to do so can result in heavy financial penalties and possible expulsion from the Association.

The Tile Association

To get the right advice on the perfect tile for your home be sure to choose a retailer who is a member of The Tile Association. The Tile Association checks out any tile retailer, fixer or tile fixing company wishing to join their ranks. It checks their experience, abilities, track record and financial health. Go to the Tile Association website where you can search by town or postcode. You can also download a copy of Your complete Guide to Tiles or Tile it Right, a step by step DIY tile fixing, guide.

If DIY really isn’t for you then you will also find your nearest TTA tile fixer on the website and you can spend your weekend doing the most enjoyable bit – choosing your tiles. The Tile Association are so confident of their members’ workmanship that they have introduced the TTA insurance backed Warranty Scheme especially for TTA Registered Fixers working in the consumer sector and cover is provided for six years after the tiling has been completed.
