Legislation requires all employers to provide as far as is reasonably practicable, sufficient information, instruction, training and supervision to ensure the health and safety at work of employees and provide employees with adequate health and safety training. Health and safety training should be given when an employee is recruited and when they are exposed to new or increased risks – with refresher training being repeated periodically as per employers own training policy. The BAR recommends mandatory refresher training is repeated annually.

This course is aimed at all staff who are required to carry customers’ furniture effects in a safe manner whilst ensuring the risk of damage is kept to an absolute minimum.
