Italy remains the worst affected country as the coronavirus spreads to impact most countries in Europe.
Italian trade association, AITI, report that this week the Italian Government has adopted a new decree to help stop the spread of the virus. The measures includes a ban on removals and access to a number of municipalities in the region of Lombardy (Bertonico; Casalpusterlengo; Castelgerundo; Castiglione d’Adda; Codogno; Fombio; Maleo; San Fiorano; Somaglia; Terra-nova dei Passerini) and Veneto (Vò). The decree also includes a suspension of all but essential work activities, road, rail and passenger transport services.
France also closed nearly 120 schools on Tuesday due to clusters of coronavirus infections in the north of the country mainly located in Brittany and regions north of Paris.
European moving companies embarking on trips should naturally pay close attention to the latest information from media sources in countries they are passing through and specifically loading and unloading cities.
