With there being no impact from bank holidays last month, we saw a positive increase of around 7%, with over 150,000 properties coming onto the market in June.
There has also been an 11% increase on June 2022 which provides a significant opportunity for storage companies to capture those looking to declutter their house to help them make it easier to sell, a reason 4% of those surveyed by The Self Storage Association reported they used units for.
In terms of properties that were SSTC, June saw 105,207 properties enter this stage. This is around 4% more than last month but 7% less than the previous year.
This presents a great opportunity for moving companies to make sales in October skyrocket by going into July marketing to these prospects while they are waiting to complete over the next 123 days.
