In a world of increased environmental considerations for vehicles, GB Liners took the decision to invest heavily in upgrading its vehicle fleet. They have chosen the MAN TGM 18.250, fitted with a Euro 6 engine, heated seats for the driver and the passenger, a fully integrated satellite navigation and reversing camera. The TGM also comes with on-board telematics which have proven to be a real benefit to the company. The MAN TGM redefines the terms of economical, equipped with an optimised driveline ensures more comfort and even greater savings on fuel. The initial driver reaction of the L cab is very positive as the TGM continues to be efficient and reliable. The company has purchased 18 of these vehicles in total over the last 5 years. Assembled by Unique Van Bodies in Warrington, the GRP panels with inlayed steel framework really gives the rigidity required. The vehicle can carry 5 containers in it’s box body which also has a drop well and additional access door between the 4th and 5th container. All of the new vehicles now also have additional locks along with an on board safe to ensure security. The platforms and ramps can be positioned anywhere around the vehicle to enable efficient load space access a for the crews.
