In October, the BAR Young Movers Group Council will
be climbing the highest mountains in England,
Scotland and Wales within 24 hours to raise funds
for the Removers Benevolent Association (RBA).
The National Three Peaks Challenge is one of the UK’s toughest feats of endurance. It
involves scaling Scafell Pike in England, Ben Nevis in Scotland and Snowdon in Wales
for a total ascent of 3,064 metres, with 23 miles of walking and 462 miles of driving.
The team of intrepid adventurers taking on this challenge comprises YMG Chairman
Ciaran Mullarkey, Councillors Calvin Tickner, Dan Braddock, Dan Fox and Tommy
McNee, along with BAR National Group Council Chairman Paul Fox.
The group is taking on the gruelling challenge to raise money for the RBA, the only
dedicated charity for the removals and storage industry. Established in 1900, the RBA
assists the employees and families of BAR Member companies by providing financial
relief in times of need.
“The BAR Young Movers Council would like to do their bit in these challenging
times to support those in need,” YMG Chairman Ciaran Mullarkey explained.
“We understand there’s economic uncertainty at the moment but we would really
appreciate your support by donating and sharing the news of our upcoming challenge
on social media to encourage others to do the same.”
