The Members of the British Association of Removers (BAR) have, for more than a century, been dedicated to promoting excellence in the Removals & Storage industry and last month BAR Members adopted enhanced Membership criteria to strengthen their current highly regarded removal standards.

The following key enhancements are directly focused on guaranteeing consistency, professional service, quality, security and peace of mind to any customer when using a removal company displaying the BAR badge.

(a) All Members must be of good repute and prove sound financial standing on a regular basis
(b) All BAR Members will be submitted to an annual, extensive and independent inspection – this gives consumers the peace of mind to know that, although the industry is not regulated, BAR will ensure the highest standard of quality and service on a regular basis.
(c) A wide range of enhanced training, compliance and consumer facing criteria.

This new enhanced Membership criteria which, when coupled with the consumer facing BAR-OFT approved Code of Practice, ensures that BAR Members are setting new standards for the industry.
